Pregnancy is hard and finding comfortable sleepwear that you can wear as your belly grows and even after postpartum should not be hard to find. Here are my top 5 pregnancy and postpartum sleepwear options you should get today!
When I was pregnant with my first child I knew I needed to start a whole new wardrobe to fit my growing belly but as you know everything labeled as “Maternity” is crazy expensive and I didn’t want to just spend money on clothes, specially sleepwear, that I was just going to use for a couple months and then store them away in the garage to collect dust so these are the top 5 sleepwear options throughout my whole pregnancy and I still wear to this day.

Pajama Sets
Oversize T-shirts in the summer months worked great but as fall and winter got closer I wanted warmer pjs that would fit me all throughout pregnancy and even postpartum and I’m so glad I found these sets!
Two-piece Sets
This long sleeve two-piece set is so soft and comfortable I wanted to get in every color but ended up just getting it in light brown and light grey.
The buttons on the top allow you to easily breastfeed postpartum as well!
I’m 5’4 and I got this set when I was 130 lbs in size small. The fit and feel of the fabric was very comfortable.
If you plan on breastfeeding this maternity and nursing set is a must. It’s so soft and stretchy that I was able to use it in the third trimester and postpartum.
This set is so lightweight and breathable that I was able to use it during spring and early summer months when I was nursing.
I got this in size small and at about 39 weeks pregnant the waistband started to get uncomfortable for me but I had no problem postpartum.
This short sleeve and shorts set is perfect for those hot summer months. The ruched side design allows the shirt to hug you in the right spots when you’re lounging around the house and don’t want to get ready but still want to look put together.
The material is very comfortable, breathable, and soft.
Perfect pregnancy and postpartum sleepwear for breastfeeding and pumping since it has easy access without having to extra exposed areas.
Nightgowns
This long sleeve nightgown is another comfortable pregnancy and postpartum sleepwear option. It is warm, light weight, soft, and stretchy. It is perfect for nursing or pumping.
The buttons on the front allow you to breastfeed your little one without exposing your entire top. It works great when you master breastfeeding laying down on your bed in the middle of the night!
I wore a size small all through out pregnancy when I was 175 lbs and I even packed this in my hospital bag to wear it in the recovery unit where I was learning how to breastfeed my son.
Perfect nightgown when you don’t want to wear pants but get cold easily.
During the summer months this sleeveless nightgown is perfect . The buttons in the front allow easy access for breastfeeding in the middle of the night or for pumping.
It is so comfortable and soft and you can easily wear it throughout your pregnancy and postpartum as well.
I’m 5’4 and got mine in size small when I was about 150 lbs during my pregnancy and the fit was comfortable.
I wouldn’t pack this in your hospital bag since its very lightweight and doesn’t have any sleeves. Hospitals are pretty cold and you’re better off with the long sleeve pajama shown above.
Slippers
Let’s not forget our feet! These cross band fuzzy slippers are perfect for just hanging around the house. They are so soft and look adorable.
These fuzzy slippers are the perfect shoes to pack in your hospital bag. When you get out of the hospital chances are your feet will be swollen from all those fluids you got at your hospital stay and your feet won’t fit into your average closed toe shoe or even slipper. These cross band slippers worked perfectly for me, their design allowed them to expand enough for my feet to feel comfortable but not too much to the point that the straps became too loose after the swelling went down pospartum.
I washed them once when they were starting to look a little too sad and laid them out to dry, once they were dry they looked like new.
If you’re not into letting the toes hang out these slip on slippers with hard bottom soles are the best!
The inside feels so soft and comfortable you won’t want to take them off the whole day.
The slipper has a hard bottom that doesn’t wear down within the first few months even after using them every day. Highly recommend these!
That’s it! These are my top 5 pregnancy and postpartum sleepwear options I couldn’t live without when I was pregnant and even postpartum.
